It is with heavy hearts that we inform the NZ Martial Arts Hall of Fame community about the sudden passing of Professor Dave Millar in Australia on Friday 22nd May, 2020.

Professor Dave Millar - 8th Dan - was the head of NZ JiuJitsu Lifeskills. His passion for the Arts lead him to co-found the New Zealand Martial Arts Hall Of Fame in 1997; bringing together many masters from various styles in a way to celebrate their contributions, dedication, and the cultivation of martial arts in New Zealand.

Professor Dave served as the President of the NZMAHOF and was an inductee of the NZMAHOF, Australasian Martial Arts Hall Of Fame, and the World Karate Union.

He was well known in the martial arts community and his untimely death has shocked all that knew him. This is truly a great loss, and he will be missed and dearly remembered by many.

Please share any memories or condolences you would like to pass on to his wife, Angie, and the rest of the Millar whanau at this time.
